The Asbestos Institute Exit Ecology is a Canadian non-profit organization that gathers and distributes medical, scientific and technical information about asbestos and substitute fibres. The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Exit Ecology is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established by the Congress to "serve the public interest by promoting a more rational regulatory environment for the building community, by facilitating the introduction of new and innovative technology, and disseminating nationally recognized technical information". The Resilient Floor Covering Institute, U.S.A.  Exit Ecology has developed an internet publication, Recommended Work Procedures for Resilient Floor Coverings. Member companies are manufacturers of floor coverings that may contain some asbestos; sheet vinyl, vinyl asbestos tile and asphalt tile.
