Hazardous Waste Education Fee

Important! The Department of Revenue has replaced the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system with a new 6-digit North American Industrial Classification (NAICS), which has been applied to all businesses in Washington. Because of this, you may be receiving the Education Fee billing for the first time. If you do not generate waste, you can request a waiver by clicking on the waiver request link located on this page. You may also review the pages listed below for more information on waste generation questions.

Notice: Late payments must be postmarked by July 18, 2008.

Here is some helpful information on the fee program and fee payer requirements. Important: be sure to review the list of “frequently asked questions and answers” to help you decide if you generate waste. If you do not generate waste, you may submit a Fee Waiver Request.
