Washington State Waste Designation Codes

Washington State only Waste Codes for the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest

  Waste designation codes are required on the Uniform Hazardous Waste manifest in Item 13.
  • First, enter up to six federal waste designation codes for each waste stream (examples of federal codes are F003 and U121).
  • Second,  enter any Washington State specific waste codes - If there are less than six federal codes for the waste stream. Washington State codes start with "W".
  • Do not use the obsolete Washington State Lab Pack Codes WL01 or WL02.

Washington State specific waste codes and their definitions:
 

  WPCB Listed Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) Source Waste.  Definition
  WSC2 Solid or Semi-solid Corrosive Waste.  Definition
  WT01
or WT02
Extremely Hazardous Toxic Criteria Waste or Dangerous Toxic Criteria Waste based on testing, book designation or the generator's knowledge of their waste.

(This is not the EPA Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure or TCLP test.)
