Active Hazardous Waste and Used Oil Facilities in Washington StateWashington State has five categories of actively operating facilities: Commercial TSDRs – for profit waste management businesses that, subject to certain rules and standards, treat, store, dispose or recycle hazardous wastes from any generator.Private/Captive TSDRs – treat, store, dispose or recycle waste generated only within their company. Federal TSDRs – federal agencies or military that generate and manage hazardous wastes. Recycling Only - commercial waste management companies that accept wastes for reclaiming or recycling useful products. Used Oil Processors - only accept used oil for processing into alternative fuels or other lubricants.
