If your site generated or managed regulated dangerous wastes, and you did report some waste streams during the previous year:

You can copy data from an earlier year in TurboWaste.Net into the current year and modify the records. For example if you have 20 waste streams in your previous year's data and you do not want to retype them all, use the Copy feature to enter them into your new annual report year forms. You can edit the files to change codes, and add waste amounts, shipment dates, and so on after it is copied.

You could also use the  Select Waste Stream  button found on the GM and WR Forms to copy a single waste stream from a previous year into the current reporting year. You can edit the waste stream to change codes, waste amounts, shipment dates, and so on.

  • Click the button next to Waste Data - Copy and select a year (usually the previous year).
  • Then click the Continue button at the bottom of the page.

TurboWaste.Net will take you to an Annual Report Checklist.

  • Edit your OI form first if it is necessary.
  • Edit your GM or WR form information next, by adding any new waste streams, deleting any un-necessary waste streams and adding waste amounts and shipment information as required.

2.
Do I have to get a PIN Number for each RCRA Site ID Number?

Yes, but you can manage them all from the same User Account. If you do, you will see a list of all your RCRA Site ID Numbers with their names and addresses, each time you enter TurboWaste.Net. All you have to do is click on one of the RCRA Site ID Numbers to work with that site's information. See the TurboWaste User Guide for instructions on how to adding additional sites to your user account.

3. I have multiple sites to report on, how do I do this?

Each individual reporting site is issued its own PIN (Personal Identification Number). First set up your User Account and Password for one of your sites. After that, you can add additional reporting sites to the same account.

You will need the RCRA Site ID number and PIN number for each site before you can add it. See the TurboWaste User Guide for instructions on how to add additional sites to your user account.

4.  How do I file an annual report for an earlier year?

TurboWaste.Net accepts annual reports from earlier years. The data entry or data importing process will be the same. Both the earlier versions of the source, form and system codes, as well as the newer codes used for 2003 or later reporting are included in the application. When you start an annual report year, TurboWaste.Net  automatically shows you the correct codes for that year.

5. Can I import data from my data system into TurboWaste.Net?

Yes.  TurboWaste.Net allows users to import annual reporting data from their own computer system. You can import data from Microsoft Excel files or various database files. You will need to put the files in a "flat file format" that TurboWaste.Net can read. See the Turbowaste User Guide for the complete directions.

This is not the same as copying your waste stream or OI files from a previous year to save data entry time.  This procedure is for data that is kept in another data base and then transferred to TurboWaste.Net at annual reporting time.

See How to Import Data Files for more information.

If you choose, you can develop your own file translation routines but they must meet the import file specifications.

Click the Create New Annual Report link on the Site Profile web page to create a place to put your data files before you start to import them.

You will also need to click the Complete Site ID Form link on the Annual Report Checklist page. Site ID Form data cannot be imported because it is automatically created and filled out by TurboWaste.Net. You will still need to review the Site ID form for corrections and save it.
