Technical Support Documents

The Department of Ecology recently received a request under the Public Disclosure Act for three technical documents related to the Environmental Impact Statement that is being prepared for the commercial low-level radioactive waste disposal facility located in Richland, Washington. The three technical documents requested are as follows:

1. Radiological Risk Assessment (103 pages)
2. FOLAT – A Model for Assessment of Leaching and Transport of radionuclide"s in Unsaturated Porous Media (55 pages)
3. Groundwater Concentrations and Drinking Water Doses with Uncertainty for the US Ecology Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility, Richland, Washington (89 pages)

Following receipt of the request it was determined these documents would be posted on the Nuclear Waste Program’s website to ensure access to all interested parties.
