Permit review staff work with local governments and permit applicants to ensure shoreline project plans comply with state and local policies and regulations.

Wetlands and Critical Areas

Wetlands staff work with local governments and permit applicants to ensure projects and plans comply with state and local policies and regulations (Shoreline Management, Growth Management, SEPA, and Clean Water Act "Section 401"). Staff work with the county and all municipalities within the county.

Floodplain Management

Floodplain staff work with local governments and permit applicants to ensure projects and plans comply with state and local policies and regulations. 

Federal Permits

Ecology reviews certain federal projects and federally-funded activities for consistency with state laws.

Watershed Planning
