	Analysis Section Synthesize information from working maps, literature review and field visits. Prepare a shoreline characterization report and map portfolio.

Chapter 7, Shoreline Inventory and Characterization, of the Shoreline Master Program Handbook is now available. This is the first chapter of the SMP Handbook to be posted to Ecology’s website. Ecology made this chapter a priority in order to provide guidance to local governments now starting their SMP comprehensive updates. When it’s completed, the SMP Handbook will cover all aspects of the SMP update process. Download Chapter 7 (pdf)
