Washington Energy Corps

The Washington Conservation Corps is a nationally recognized organization with a long history of getting things done. We take pride in our ability to increase local capacity of many government and non-profit agencies and organizations including the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, numerous local governments, and regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups. We are a crew based organization with 24 six-member teams based throughout the State.

The Washington Conservation Corps is building upon our success by forming the Energy Corps. This new program will allow us to provide high quality teams to local Community Action Councils and others, in order to increase capacity to implement the Obama administration's stimulus package weatherization initiative. Our teams will be fully be versed in all aspects of weatherization by attending a comprehensive training program at the Building Performance Center in Bellingham. The trainers at the Building Performance Center have delivered hundreds of days of technical training since 1997 to agencies, utilities and private contractors in WA, OR, ID, AK and the province of British Columbia.

Any organizations interested in working with the Washington Conservation Corps should contact us. Options include a full-time crew for the year, or crew time for specific projects by the week. Crews come complete with a complement of basic hand tools, vehicle, five crew members, and a working crew supervisor.
