Coastal Zone Management Grants
For 2005-2007, Ecology will offer grants for shoreline master program
updates. These grants will be jointly funded with state funds ($4 million has
been requested for the biennium) and CZM funds. Ecology intends to continue to
dedicate up to $400,000 in federal CZM funds per year to these shoreline
planning grants. The availability of these funds is subject to federal approval
of the state’s annual CZM awards.
There will be no separate CZM grants program in the 2005-2007 biennium.
Eleven jurisdictions received CZM funding in 2004-2005.
