Cathlamet Shoreline Master Program: Comprehensive Update
Public Comment Requested - October 25, 2017 to November 30, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
We are seeking public comment on the Town of Cathlamet’s proposed update to its Shoreline Master Program.
The proposed Shoreline Master Program will entirely replace the Town’s original 1975 program. The updated goals, policies, regulations, environment designations, and administrative provisions are locally tailored to reflect current conditions and community vision for future shoreline use and development. The master program applies to approximately 3 miles of Columbia River waterfront along the Elochoman Slough and Cathlamet Channel. The updated SMP prioritizes water-oriented uses, habitat protection, public access, and ecological restoration and allows for legal existing uses and structures to continue.
We will compare Town of Cathlamet's proposed program to the requirements of the Shoreline Management Act and the Shoreline Master Program Guidelines. Based on the comparison, we will decide whether to:

All interested parties are invited to provide comment during this public comment period. There are several ways to provide comments. You only need to submit your comments once.
