Vancouver Shoreline Master Program: Limited Amendment

On May 3, 2017, the Department of Ecology approved City of Vancouver’s Shoreline Master Program (SMP) limited amendment. Per RCW 90.58.090, the effective date of Vancouver’s shoreline program amendment is May 17, 2017, 14 days after Ecology provided notice to Vancouver that their shoreline program amendments were approved.

The amendments incorporate recent changes made to the city’s Critical Area Protection Code in 2016 through Ordinance No. M-4176 and ensures consistency.  The changes are largely related to Ecology’s 2014 updates to the wetland rating system.

Ecology used mail and email to notify interested parties of the public comment period held April 6 through April 21, 2017. We received no comments.
