On September 1, 2010, the Washington Department of Ecology approved Everett's Marshland Amendment to its 2009 Shoreline Master Program, subject to the City's agreement to the required changed.

Public comment process

Ecology held a public comment period on city of Everett’s proposed Marshland Amendment to their Shoreline Master Program. The period for public comment was from April 12 through May 12, 2010. Ecology used mail and email to notify those who had expressed prior interest. Ecology also issued a press release encouraging public participation and comment and placed a display ad in the Everett Herald on April 9, 2010.

Ecology received comments from six citizens and two organizations. A comment summary was mailed to Everett on May 27, 2010. The City prepared a response to those comments. Other relevant documents will be posted on this website when they become available.
