Yakima County’s Shoreline Program Comprehensive Update

Director of Ecology Issues Effective Date Letters

Ecology has approved and issued effective date letters for the Yakima County’s Regional Shoreline Master Program amendment. Each jurisdictions agreement letters by the county and participating cities to the required changes detailed in Attachment B can be found below. These proposed changes will amend the State Master Program, relating to the Shoreline Management Act of 1971 and a comprehensive revision of the regional shoreline master program for Yakima County, the Cities of Mabton, Wapato, Toppenish, Zillah, Granger, Grandview, Union Gap, and Selah (still awaiting letter of agreement), and the Town of Naches.
