Seasonal to annual horizontal change of the 2.0-m contour line. The mean position change of the 2.0-m contour has been calculated for 15 of the 16 surface map sites. The values represent an average shoreline position along each 4-km surface map relative to the summer 1997 baseline condition. The figure features the relative shoreline positions measured during the winter 1998, summer 1998, winter 1999, summer 1999, and winter 2000 surveys. The data reveal the variability of shoreline position over 2.5 years. Note the regional gradient in shoreline change from south to north within each of the sub-cells.
