News Conference Scheduled

          A news conference regarding the cleanup effort for the 248-P2 Oil Spill at Point Wells will be held at the oil spill command center located at ChevronTexaco’s terminal beginning at 3:30 p.m. today.

          Officials from the U.S. Coast Guard, Washington Department of Ecology and Foss Martitime Company  will discuss the progress of cleanup activities and plans for the next 24 hours.

          Directions to the oil spill command center:

Directions:  From Highway 99 in Shoreline, go west on 185^th Ave. N. 

185^th becomes Richomond Beach Road, which later becomes 195^th Ave.

195^th becomes 196^th.

The road ends at a T.  Turn right onto Richmond Beach Road, which ends at the terminal gate.
