Frequently Asked Questions: Contingency Plans

If you are a NEW company beginning operations in Washington?

You must submit an oil spill contingency plan no less than 65 days prior to beginning operations. Reference WAC 173-182-120.

If you are an EXISTING approve facility or vessel company.  

You are required to re-submit an oil spill contingency plan. In re-submitting your plan, you must include a compliance schedule describing (WAC 173-182-130) how you will meet the requirements in WAC 173-182-310 through 173-182-440.

If your plan was approved before April 26, 2006
