(All of the projects in this list were funded as a result of resource damage assessments made by the state of Washington. For each project, the responsible party provided funds for the project as compensation for impacts to public natural resources from an oil spill. )

4/21/02 Yale Reservoir – Lewis River Cowlitz County PUD Construction of a public fishing pier and parking lot (all handicap accessible) on the Swift No. 2 canal (near Cougar, WA), and stocking of the canal with 1,000 trout per year for five years beginning in April 2006.
6/12/02 Sinclair Inlet U.S. Navy, USS Camden Removal of Japanese Knotweed and re-vegetation with native plants at the Keyport Shallow Lagoon on the Keyport Naval Base near Poulsbo, WA.

5/2/03 Columbia River Port of Portland, Marine Terminals Corp. Improvement of Painted Turtle nesting habitat in the Smith and Bybee Lakes Wildlife Area (in North Portland, OR), and installation of large woody debris.
11/27/03 Elma wetland Reinhard Petroleum Application of funds from the RDA toward the match for a funding package to purchase a conservation easement to protect a 75 acre parcel of high value habitat adjacent to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, Black River Unit and other protected areas (near Rochester, WA).
12/30/03 Port Madison Foss Maritime, Barge 248 P-2 Proposed restoration includes marsh creation in the Indianola Waterfront Preserve, shellfish enhancement along the Indianola shoreline, creosote soaked log removal in the Doe-Kag-Wats wetland, berm enhancement at Doe-Kag-Wats, and tideland acquisition.
1/13/04 Lacey Wetland Saint Martin’s University Improve channel stability and fish passage in Woodland Creek at the foot bridge on university property by removing concrete debris and adding some wood and re-distributing in-stream boulders.
5/19/04 Eld Inlet James Day, Vessel Kuan Yin Work with People for Puget Sound on a re-vegetation restoration project on the southern end of Eld Inlet (west of Olympia).
10/29/04 Toutle Wetland Weyerhaeuser Company Contributed to the Coweeman River stream-bank stabilization project that improved stability to a 500 foot reach of the river in Cowlitz County near Longview. The project will reduce fine sediment delivery to the river that can cover salmon reds.
5/5/05 Grays Harbor F/V Loree, Keith Andersen Work with the North Olympic Salmon Coalition on the Morse Creek Riparian Restoration Project (near Port Angeles).
10/28/05 Port Townsend U.S. Navy, USS Rodney Davis Removal of creosote-laden wood materials from Walan Point on Indian Island and removal of trash and debris from beaches in the Fort Flagler State Park. Link to Post Project Report.
6/15/06 Everett Harbor Port of Everett Contributed to the Union Slough salt marsh riparian habitat restoration project, working with People for Puget Sound. Work included clearing invasive vegetation and planting native vegetation, mulching, and maintenance of previously planted trees.
11/3/06 Silver Creek Puget Sound Energy Proposed projects include the Greenwater Floodway Restoration Project that will remove the remaining road fill associated with old roads within the valley bottom and incorporate large woody material into the channel as engineered log jams, and repair and improvements to the Huckleberry Creek fish acclimation pond. Both projects are in the White River watershed.
6/9/07 Mox-Chehalis Creek Wetland Pettit Oil Company Restoration of approximately 1,400 feet of streambed and riparian area in the upper Mox-Chehalis Creek at the Straddle-Line ORV Park.
9/28/07 Blair Waterway Graymont Western Contributed to a restoration project in the Mowitch Estuary hosted by Citizens for a Healthy Bay that removed invasive vegetation and planted native salt marsh plants. The estuary is in the Hylebos Waterway in Tacoma.
2/3/08 Wishkah River Wishkah School District Small stream riparian corridor enhancement. Plant and maintain 500 trees along the left bank of a small stream adjacent to the Wishkah School District property where the incident occurred.
