Moving Beyond Waste

The Beyond Waste Plan is the state solid and hazardous waste plan. This 30-year plan has a clear, simple goal: eliminate wastes and toxics whenever we can and use the remaining waste as resources. That's because avoiding waste and the use of toxic chemicals is the smartest, cheapest, and healthiest approach to waste management. We need to update our solid waste laws to move 'beyond waste'.
