Electronic Product RegistrationWho must register? If you are a manufacturer, collector, transporter or processor of covered electronic products and you are participating in an Ecology approved recycling plan, you must register with the Washington Recycles: Electronics program. Why must you register?
How do you register? The Department of Ecology has developed an on-line registration application. Manufacturers also need to pay a yearly administrative fee. The on-line registration system requires you to first register with SecureAccess Washington (SAW). The individual responsible for implementing the company’s requirements under the WA Electronic Product Recycling Program MUST submit the registration form.STEP 1: Register for SAW The SAW website is administered by the Washington State Department of Information Systems. It ensures privacy and confidential information for its users. STEP 2: Complete a Washington Recycles: Electronics Registration Form To access the registration forms, you must log into SAW. Select the categories that apply to you. Keep in mind that many businesses may need to register for more then one category. You only need to register with SAW once, but you must register with Ecology for each category that applies to your business. For example, if you are both a manufacturer and a collector you do not need to register twice with SAW. However, you must register separately as a manufacturer and as a collector with Ecology. Click here to register with SAW If you need a printable version of the registration forms or have any questions relating to electronic product registration, please contact Margo Thompson at (360)407-6999 or math461@ecy.wa.gov. |
