Youth Crews

The Department of Ecology in Yakima, which represents the Central Region, generally has eight crews. Crews traditionally run in your area may need to be reduced or even eliminated depending on the level of funding the Ecology EYC program receives. The 2008 adult median crew (18 years of age and up) is also dependent on funding. The median crew is based out of Yakima and cleans Kittitas and Yakima Counties. Applications are accepted on an on going basis. Once the crew is filled applications will be kept on file for future openings.

The Central Region Office will be hiring youths between the ages of 14 and 17 to work on one of our Ecology Youth Corps (EYC) road crews in the summer of 2008. We have two summer sessions, those hired will be placed in either the 1st or 2nd session:

  • Your paycheck will be mailed to your home twice a month.
