Municipal Solid Waste Landfills

Municipal Solid Waste Landfills are permitted under chapter 173-351 WAC, Municipal Solid Waste Landfills. Their facilities are permitted by the local jurisdictional health departments. See What is the Permitting Process for Solid Waste Facilities? for additional information.

Permit application forms can be obtained from the Jurisdictional Health Department for the county that the facility is located.

Municipal Solid Waste landfills are required to report annually under WAC 173-351-200(11). The annual facility report forms can be found under Solid Waste Forms. Information obtained from those reports can be found under Solid Waste and Recycling Data and in the Annual Solid Waste Status Reports.
