Waste 2 Resources Program

Derelict Vessel Grants

Derelict Vessel grants assist local governments with the costs of removing and disposing of hazardous substances from derelict vessels.

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has a comprehensive derelict vessel removal program. Where Ecology's program only funds the removal and disposal of hazardous substances on derelict vessels, the DNR program provides funding and expertise to assist public agencies in the removal and disposal of the vessels and hazardous substances aboard the vessels.
