As the number of residential and commercial green buildings increases, more data becomes available about cost, long-term environmental performance, and occupant satisfaction. Numerous case studies have been published online or in books, journals and trade magazines. These studies focus on different aspects of green building performance, construction practices, and lessons learned.

Below are links to green building project descriptions and case studies. Information about each project will vary. For example, it may or may not include a follow up on the building performance after it was constructed. Or it may focus on some performance criteria such as energy efficiency, but not others like water efficiency. If you are interested in a specific project or feature, we encourage you to contact the owner/ builder/ certifier directly for more information. Local home builders associations, not-for-profit organizations, and public agencies periodically offer green building home tours, open houses, and other educational events where you can experience green building technology firsthand.
