Homeowner Incentives

Sometimes your local government has incentives or rebate programs that reward you for going green. These programs, though, change frequently, so check the resources listed below often for new information.

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies

The latest information regarding federal, state, and local tax incentives and rebate programs for renewable energy and energy efficiency is available at: Database for State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE)

Your local utilities provider may offer incentives for installation of energy efficient appliances, windows, photovoltaic panels, insulation, solar water heaters and more. Check with them when planning energy improvements for your home.

Water Efficiency

Contact your local water and sewer provider and your city or county government for possible water efficiency incentives or rebate programs. We will be adding to the list below as we learn about new programs:

• EPA-maintained list of rebates offered by WaterSense Partners.
• The Partnership for Water Conservation for the Puget Sound region. The rebates information page is coming soon..
• The LOTT Alliance (serves Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater) water efficiency program rebates.
• Saving Water Partnership (Seattle and participating local water utilities) financial incentives program.
• Spokane County and the City of Spokane water efficiency incentive programs.
