A significant volume of construction and demolition waste is building materials that can be used again. There are a number of businesses in Washington that specialize in both deconstruction (reclaiming the re-usable building materials prior to demolition) and re-sale of salvaged products. If you are planning a new construction project or a major renovation, consider using salvaged materials - many have qualities superior to today's products. When remodeling, take discarded materials that still have a useful life to a local salvaged materials outlet to benefit someone else.
