Location & History

Hasa Inc. plans to build and operate a sodium hypochlorite (bleach) re-packaging plant in Longview. Bleach will be received in bulk tank trucks, off-loaded into bulk storage tanks and repackaged into one gallon bottles for shipment. The state waste discharge permit was issued October 14, 2011, after no comments were received during the comment period. The permit allows them to discharge wastewater to Weyerhaeuser Longview's wastewater treatment facility. After treatment there, Weyerhaeuser will discharge it to outfall 001/002 on the Columbia River.
