Pulp and Paper Facilities - Boise, Vancouver Mill

Location & History

The facility is located on the shore of Columbia River at 907 West Seventh Street, Vancouver, Washington, downstream from the I 5 highway bridge between Washington and Oregon. The facility is considered a "converting facility" (i.e., involved in converting uncoated papers to coated and security papers). This capsule plant manufactures a coating which is both marketed as a product and used in its coating operation to make carbonless paper. No pulping, digesting, or bleaching activities occur at this site. The facility discharge outfall extends from the facility site in a southwesterly direction into Columbia River. The mill treated wastewater is discharged through the outfall line on an intermittent basis.

Capacities:

The mill has the capacity to convert approximately 150 tons/day. In the year 2001 approximately 98 tons/day were produced.
