Location & History
The Camas Mill is a pulp and paper manufacturing complex that is bound on three sides by
the City of Camas, Washington. A little over a quarter of the mill site lies north of the
Camas Slough (an arm of Columbia River that connects to the Washougal River). The rest of
the mill resides on Lady Island which is situated directly south of the slough and fronts
Columbia River. The wastewater treatment system and a solid waste landfill are located on
this island. The mill produces bleached kraft paper, tissue, and toweling products. The
final effluent discharge outfall extends into the Columbia River.
