Location & History
The mill is located in Sumner, Washington
adjacent to White River. The mill was constructed by Northern
Paperboard in 1915. Sonoco Products Company purchased the mill in
1980. The Sonoco Products Company purchases waste cardboard and
magazines type papers and produces paperboard. The mill discharges
its treated wastewater into White River above the Fryar Avenue
Bridge.
Capacities:
The mill has capability of producing
approximately 113 tons/day of paperboard. From the year 2004 to
2006, the company average production was 114 tons/day.
