Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA)
Annual Reports
The Annual Report is a yearly update on what state agencies
and programs have accomplished using the Toxic Control Account
funds. It includes the amount of revenue generated during
the Fiscal Year from the Hazardous Substance Tax, cost recovery,
fines, and penalties, fees from the Voluntary Cleanup Program
and from mixed waste fees.
Several agencies receive dollars from the Toxics Control Account
to clean up contaminated sites, prevent pollution from getting
into the environment, and manage hazardous waste. We do
this to protect human health and the environment. We want
to make sure that our drinking water is protected and beaches
are safe to play on for example. We work with communities
to reduce toxics so that their neighborhoods and local economy
can thrive. Please see our
Photo Gallery to view a
sampling of the contaminated sites we work on.
