We, the members of the Area-Wide Soil Contamination Task Force, submit this report to the Washington State Departments of Agriculture, Ecology, Health, and Community, Trade and Economic Development. This report contains the Task Force's findings and recommendations on a statewide strategy for addressing area-wide soil contamination. In developing this report, Task Force members considered and took positions
on a large number of complex issues. This report contains many compromises.
Under the Task Force's approach to consensus, a member's signature below
means that he or she is comfortable with the report as a whole; where
there was disagreement on an issue, the report documents the range of
views on the Task Force.
