Public Comment Period: August 15  -  October 29, 2012 on

Proposed Amendments to Chapter 173-204 WAC, Sediment Management Standards (SMS) 

On August 15, 2012, the Department of Ecology (Ecology) filed proposed amendments to Chapter 173-204 WAC, Sediment Management Standards (SMS).   The proposed rule amendments and supporting environmental and economic analyses  documents  are available for public review and comment. Public hearings will be held in five locations throughout the state between September 26 and October 4, 2012.

Ecology will accept comments from August 15, 2012 until 11:59 p.m. on October 29, 2012. If you wish to provide comments, please submit them in the format provided in the SMS Comment Form . Your comments can be emailed to RuleUpdate@ecy.wa.gov, and viewed below; the list will be updated weekly.

All comments received will become part of the official record.   Ecology will review all comments received, and publish responses in a document called a Concise Explanatory Statement, which will be available after the rule is adopted.
