Cenex Supply & Marketing Inc. Rinsate Site

SITE DESCRIPTION

The Cenex site was originally used as a storage facility for liquid fertilizer and soil fumigant. Investigations conducted at the site showed contamination in soil and groundwater that exceeded state standards. CHS, Inc., formerly Cenex Harvest States conducted several cleanup actions to address the elevated levels of Volatile Organic Compunds (VOCs). Treatment systems were put in place in 2001 to address the contamination and monitoring was conducted.

Ecology conducted a periodic review in September 2008 to determine the effectiveness of the cleanup actions. The review is now available for public comment. You may read the document and associated fact sheet by clicking on the links below.
