Evergreen Fuels
SITE
BACKGROUND
The Evergreen Fuels site, located on Puget Sound's Oakland Bay near Shelton, has
been operated as a gasoline and diesel tank farm and distribution facility since
1913.
A 2003 diesel spill at the site alerted Ecology to the fact that petroleum
contamination existed at the site.
Chevron Corp., a former owner and C.C. Cole and Sons the current owners, are now
entering into an Agreed Order with Ecology to complete remedial design and site
cleanup
The new site owner, the Port of Shelton, plans to convert the site into a public
park overlooking Oakland Bay.
