Site PollutionSoil and groundwater at the site have been contaminated with many different pollutants, from several sources. The K-Ply plant area is polluted with hydraulic oil that leaked from machinery. Over years of operation, the bulk fuel plants leaked petroleum from their tank and piping systems. Diesel, gasoline, and benzene have also been found in soil and groundwater.Public Involvement OpportunitiesEcology wants to keep you involved! You will have the chance to review and comment on key documents during the cleanup process. Documents can be found at this Web site and at three different repository locations.December 19, 2005 to January 20, 2006 Public Comment Period: Current WorkEcology is currently working on the Remedial Investigation Report, which will describe the nature and extent of contamination at the site.
