Train Station Mini Mart

SITE DESCRIPTION

The Train Station Mini Mart Site is currently a restaurant.  Previously, it was a gas station.  In 2006, underground storage tanks containing petroleum were removed and soil samples confirmed petroleum contamination.  Following the removal of the tanks, a cleanup was conducted.  Contaminated soil was excavated from the vicinity of the former tanks and fuel dispensers.  Although a small amount of contaminated soil remained after the cleanup, recent sampling shows that levels have decreased below Ecology’s cleanup levels.  Ecology has determined the site does not pose a threat to human health or the environment.  Ecology has issued a determination of No Further Action.
