Bay Chemical

The Bay Chemical Site is located in Yakima. Soil at the site is contaminated with metals from the manufacture of fertilizer by the former Bay Chemical Company. In order to safely redevelop the property, BNSF has submitted draft plans to clean up the site and has agreed to enter into an agreement to clean up the site. The public is invited to comment on the draft documents. A 30-day public comment period will run from October 6, 2006 through November 6, 2006.
