Blaine Mini Mart

SITE DESCRIPTION

The Blaine Mini Mart Site is a gas station.  The Site owner conducted preliminary investigations of Site soil and groundwater in 1997 and in 2005.  Results found benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, MTBE (a gasoline additive), gasoline, diesel, and heavy oil-range petroleum hydrocarbon at concentrations above Washington state cleanup levels.  This contamination is likely a result of past operations.  Further study of the entire Site is needed to fully characterize the amount and location of the contamination.
