The Proposed Prospective Purchaser Consent Decree (PPCD) is final. The Governor has approved the early transfer of the Camp Bonneville Military Reservation from the Army to Clark County. Proposed Prospective Purchaser Consent Decree -- Public Comment Period Extended to May 19, 2006
The Department of Ecology is proposing to enter into a Prospective Purchaser Consent Decree (Decree) with Clark County to conduct an environmental cleanup at the Camp Bonneville Military Reservation. The Army proposes to transfer the Camp Bonneville Military Reservation (Camp Bonneville) site to Clark County, with funds to complete the environmental cleanup and conduct the long-term management of the property.The Decree legally formalizes the agreement between Ecology and Clark County. The proposed Decree ensures the cleanup will proceed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. It outlines the cleanup process and schedules and provides a legal framework for conducting the environmental cleanup. After cleanup is completed the land will be redeveloped as a park and wilderness conservation area.
