Lee Elementary SchoolSITE DESCRIPTIONEcology is providing an opportunity for the public to comment on the Interim Remedial Action Plan and the issuance of a Determination of Non-Significance for the soil cleanup Lee Elementary School in Douglas County, Washington. Soil beneath the grass located at the northeast corner of the playfield at the school is contaminated with lead and arsenic. The alternative preferred by Ecology at the school consists primarily of placing an asphalt cap on top of the existing soil. Ecology has determined that this alternative will provide the necessary barrier to prevent human exposure to the contaminants. SITE DOCUMENTS
