Mike's Aussie Machine Shop
SITE DESCRIPTION
The Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) proposes to remove Mike
Aussie Machine Shop from the state’s Hazardous Sites List. Mike Aussie
Machine Shop is located at 12441 Des Moines Memorial Way in Seattle, Washington.
Mike’s Aussie Machine Shop site was cleaned up as part of the Voluntary Cleanup
Program (VCP). Under the VCP, property owners can independently clean up their own property to
meet the requirements of the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) with technical
assistance from Ecology.
Ecology has determined that the remediation work at Mike’s Aussie Machine Shop
site meets the substantial requirements of the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA)
and therefore the site no longer poses a threat to human health or the
environment. Ecology proposes to remove the site from the Hazardous Sites
list and seeks your input.
