SITE DESCRIPTION

Brashler Industrial Park operates a machine shop south of Marysville, Washington.  The majority of the work at the shop involves rebuilding old printing presses. The company steam cleans printing equipment outside on a concrete pad where it generates waste detergent, oil, and ink.  Waste water is collected in a sump in a concrete pad and then recycled.  The sediment collected in the sump is pumped into barrels and tested before disposal.   However, past cleaning practices were not as controlled as they are now, according to the reviewed reports.
