1984 |
Ecology finds leaks in diesel and gasoline lines during an
inspection of Unocal Bulk Plant #0601. Monitoring wells are put in and free-floating petroleum (free product) is found in the groundwater. |
| 1989 | Four new monitoring wells are added. |
| 1991 | Free product is found in three wells. Ecology gives the site a
hazard ranking of 1 (highest priority). |
| 1992 | A free product recovery system begins removing pollution from the groundwater. |
| 1995 | The recovery well collapses and recovery stops. |
| 1999 | Groundwater monitoring ends. Free product still remains. |
| 2007 | Ecology and Chevron sign an Agreed Order (agreement) to continue investigation of pollution on the site and begin a formal cleanup process under the Model Toxics Control Act (70.105D RCW). |
