This project provided funding to reduce road-related sediment inputs to the Beckler River and its tributary Harlan Creek, which are tributaries to the South Fork of the Skykomish River. The restoration work included decommissioning over 9 miles of acquired forest roads with erosion problems, removing culverts and unstable fills, and recontouring slopes for proper drainage and to allow native vegetation to restore. These actions limit vehicle access to sensitive aquatic areas and improve overall water quality in the Beckler River watershed.
