Pilchuk River Dam Removal Feasibility Study
The City of Snohomish managed a feasibility study to determine if the City water intake structures at Pilchuk River Dam could be removed or refurbished. Then the City evaluated possible alternatives for fish passage at Pilchuk River Dam. Phase 1 provided funding for the dam removal feasibility report. Phase 2 provided funding for final design, permitting and grant applications.
The Pilchuk River is a tributary to the Snohomish River system and was identified as a high priority passage barrier for salmon and steelhead.
