Final 2008 Submittal

The 2008 list is available for informational and reference use only.

Use the most recent 303(d) list to be approved by EPA for the purposes of writing discharge permits, watershed characterization, financial assistance funding, TMDL prioritization, and TMDL implementation.



The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved the 2008 Water Quality Assessment 305(b) report and 303(d) list on January 29, 2009.

The 2008 listing cycle satisfied the EPA’s requirements for both the 2006 and 2008 assessment periods. Category 5 represented the state’s 303(d) list of impaired waters.

The 2008 water quality assessment and 303(d) list was based on the most recent state water quality standards approved by EPA (Chapter 175-201A WAC, 2006 version and Chapter 173-204 WAC) and the state’s assessment policies:
