Pierce County has offered low-interest loans for repairs of on-site sewage systems (OSS) since 2007. The County received funding through the FY2006 legislative set-aside and has more recently received additional funding through the Water Pollution State Revolving Fund (SRF) and Centennial Clean Water Program (Centennial) to continue its program.
While homeowners county-wide are eligible for loans under the Pierce County program, the County targets failing systems that pose a health or water quality risk to shellfish growing areas, 303(d) listed water bodies, Puget Sound, or other surface waters.
The map below shows the repairs funded by this program through May 2012.
