Skagit County


Skagit County has offered low-interest loans for repairs of on-site sewage systems (OSS) since 1994. The Skagit County loan program has been successful in pairing loan with grant incentives for the repair of failing septic systems. The County received funding through the FY2006 legislative set-aside and has more recently received additional funding through the Water Pollution Control State Revolving Fund (SRF) to continue its program.

Loans are available county-wide, with priority given to properties that drain to shellfish harvest areas, marine waters, bodies of water with water quality concerns, and ground water protection areas. In addition to the loan program, the County:
