Individual Wastewater Discharge Permits protect water quality by regulating discharges to surface and ground water or municipal wastewater treatment plants. There are two types of Individual Wastewater Discharge Permits. Ecology tailors both types of individual permits to regulate the specific pollutants in the waste discharge.

  1. National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permits
  2. State Waste Discharge Permits
